Scholarships

Deeply rooted in tradition and a strong sense of community, the Spooner Rodeo is dedicated to investing in the place it proudly calls home by offering scholarships to help Washburn County, Wisconsin residents/students offset the cost of continuing their education beyond high school.

Who Can Apply:

Applicants may be either traditional students (public, private or homeschooled high school seniors graduating in 2026) or non-traditional (individuals who have already earned a high school diploma, or equivalent, and are now pursuing further education). In addition, all applicants must also meet one of the following residency requirements: Have been a resident of Washburn County, Wisconsin for at least one year prior to the application date (proof of residency may be requested)  -OR- Be graduating from a high school within Washburn County, Wisconsin (Spooner, Shell Lake, Minong or Birchwood school districts).

How To Apply:

Conveniently apply online by clicking on the red "Apply Online" box below. Applications filled out online are automatically submitted.
Paper applications are also available at the Spooner Rodeo Office (located within the Washburn County Visitor Center). Completed paper applications can be emailed, mailed or dropped off.
